For years, you dream about flying all over the world, getting your passport stamped, and leaving your heart in different places. You never know when these experiences will ever happen to you, or if they ever will, but one day you take the leap and decide you don’t want to dream about these places anymore. You want to experience them.
I took that leap, the summer after graduating from college, when I decided to travel around Europe for thirty days. I traveled to ten different cities, met people who will forever be in my life, and left pieces of myself every place I went to. Although every city was spectacular, London was where I ultimately left my heart.
It was here, where the Royal Family calls home, that I caught the wanderlust bug. I was captivated by all the history around me. Walking down the middle of Westminster Abbey where William and Katherine said “I Do”, having afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason, and visiting the house where The Parent Trap was filmed were all events that led to me falling in love with this posh, yet perfect, city.
London was where I realized that traveling isn’t just for the adventure and seeing far off lands, it is also a way to discover parts of yourself that you never knew existed.
Follow along as I continue my adventures around the world.
